Worrying text from Greg Biffle’s wife sent moments before fatal plane crash.
“She texted me from the plane and said, ‘We’re in trouble.’ And that was it,” Cathy Grossu told *People*. “We’re devastated. We’re completely brokenhearted.”
The crash claimed the lives of seven people: former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle, his wife, their son Ryder, their daughter Emma, along with Dennis Dutton, his son Jack, and Craig Wadsworth.
Grossu said the group had been traveling to the Bahamas to celebrate a birthday, with a planned stop in Sarasota, Florida, before continuing on to the island.
“To think they were KILLED on what was supposed to be a joyful birthday trip — a time meant for family and celebration — is unbearable,” she said. “To see it end so tragically, in such a horrific way, is incredibly hard to process. I still can’t believe they’re gone.”
